What is it ?

SpyGame is a full-scale role playing game, loosely based on topical current issues and which take place in the world of the modern spy.

The game is entirely bilingual (French and English) and may be completed in either language.

The game involves online research, puzzles, riddles as well as stages which require observation or action taking place in the field.

The game is divided into 4 research stages, each of which are to be completed within a set time limit.

The game is perfectly compatible with any full time professional activity, the timetable and areas involved having been chosen accordingly. For each stage, the game shall require a time investment which ranges from between 30 minutes, including travel, and several hours depending on the inspiration of the players themselves.

In the event of being eliminated during any of the game’s stages, access to the participant’s personal control panel shall be preserved, so that he may continue to solve the puzzles and follow the plot right up to its ultimate conclusion. He may not, however, qualify and actually compete in the remaining stages of the game.

When is it ?

The game shall take place in Geneva for one week between Tuesday 17th May and Wednesday 25th May.

Where is it ?

The game shall take place within the city of Geneva.

Most of the game shall be played online from any computer.

The game shall involve just two trips in the city of Geneva. All game areas can be reached by public transport.

What is the prize ?

The first three players to successfully complete the final stage of the game shall receive two CHF 400.- SWISS Intl Air Lines vouchers to fly to any European destination which is part of the SWISS network (https://www.swiss.com/bg/en/book/where-we-fly/route-network)

Furthermore, each of the three winners shall receive the sum of CHF 1’000.- in cash.

How to participate ?

The game is open to any person aged 16 or over. No prerequisite is necessary apart from the love of a challenge and a solid dose of curiosity.

Access to the game costs CHF 99.-.

Once registered, you shall receive a password and an internet address which shall enable you to connect to your secured control panel, which shall be your guide throughout the game.

Each participant shall be informed by email that the briefing has been posted, and be granted access to the documents required to commence and proceed with the adventure.

Rules

Only one account is allowed per player.

Each player shall participate on an individual basis, and may in no case and by no means whatsoever communicate or broadcast to third parties, whether or not said third parties be registered, the answers to each and any stage of the game.

Each stage of the game is limited by the goal to be achieved and the time granted by when it is to be completed.

In order to qualify for the next stage of the game, the correct answer must be given within the allocated time.

Upon reaching the final stage of the game, the first three players to successfully complete all of the tasks shall be declared the winners.

The prizes are transferable, but may not be exchanged. The flight vouchers may not be exchanged for cash.

Participation in the competition implies an acceptance of the Rules set out herein. Any breach of the Rules shall result in being excluded from the competition. In particular, the organisers reserve the right to exclude, without any need to so justify, without notice and at any time whatsoever, any participant whose behaviour fails to comply with the spirit of the competition. Upon being excluded, the participant shall immediately lose all access to the control panel.

Stage 1 requires the agent to move in town once between Tuesday 17 May 2016 / 12h30 and Thursday 19 May 2016 / 21h to discover one important piece of information;
Stage 2 does not require the agent to move in town. It can be completed online with the information provided during the briefing;
Stage 3 requires the agent to move in town once on Monday 23 May 2016 / between 7h and 20h OR on Tuesday 24 May 2016 / between 7h and 20h to retrieve from a designated contact a piece of code that the agent will have to decipher;
Stage 4 does not require the agent to move in town . It can be completed online with the information provided during the briefing.
